Gerhard Radatz covers a broad range of German Lieder and art songs in various languages, e.g. composed by Johannes Brahms (amongst others the Four Serious Songs), Franz Schubert (notably Three Italian Songs for Bass op. 83), Robert Schumann, Ludwig van Beethoven (Gellert-Lieder), Hugo Wolf (e.g. Italian Songbook), Ralph Vaughan Williams (Songs of Travel), Alexander Borodin (Songs for Voice and Cello), Richard Strauss.

The singer is especially interested in the art of romantic ballads composed by Carl Loewe (just to mention Der Nöck, Odins Meeresritt, Archibald Douglas, Edward, Erlkönig, etc.)
